Beautiful diamond ring! The center diamond is over 1/2 CT., the diamond is bezel set in yellow gold. Ornate floral, repousse design also in yellow gold flows down to two white gold bands, the bands have three small cut diamonds in each band. I think this ring is one of a kind, inside is marked 14K and makers initials partially removed during sizing. I can not say how much gold is in the ring but it is fairly heavy. This is a estate ring so I have some statistics on the diamond. Iam not a jeweler so I can not give a guarantee that they are 100% accurate. But I think they could help describe the diamond, so here goes...

What makes the Golden Grail Diamond so extraordinary and rare is its unmatched size, color and clarity. When weighing all these critical measures, the Grail is peerless. Furthermore, unlike many other famous yellow diamonds, the Golden Grail is certified by the world s foremost authority, the Gemological Institute of America. The GIA certifies the Golden Grail as a 40.02 carat Natural Fancy Intense Yellow with a VVS2 clarity. There are larger yellow diamonds. The Moana Diamond for example is the largest Fancy Intense Yellow ever certified by the GIA but is does not have high clarity of the Grail. The Sancy Diamond in the Tower of London is larger but it is a light yellow with poor clarity. Also the famous Tiffany Yellow is larger but it is reported as only a VS clarity with undesirable brown undertones. To find another famous yellow diamond to rival the Grail s quality, one must cite the Peacock diamond which is is only 20 carats, half the Grails size. The size, color and clarity are not the only distinguishing factors concerning the rarity of the Golden Grail. The Grail is also completely devoid of any fluorescence. Flouresence is common in diamonds and interferes with the flow of light making the diamond appear a little oily or murky. The Grail s complete lack of flouresence gives it what has been described as a superna ...
