What makes the Golden Grail Diamond so extraordinary and rare is its unmatched size, color and clarity. When weighing all these critical measures, the Grail is peerless. Furthermore, unlike many other famous yellow diamonds, the Golden Grail is certified by the world s foremost authority, the Gemological Institute of America. The GIA certifies the Golden Grail as a 40.02 carat Natural Fancy Intense Yellow with a VVS2 clarity. There are larger yellow diamonds. The Moana Diamond for example is the largest Fancy Intense Yellow ever certified by the GIA but is does not have high clarity of the Grail. The Sancy Diamond in the Tower of London is larger but it is a light yellow with poor clarity. Also the famous Tiffany Yellow is larger but it is reported as only a VS clarity with undesirable brown undertones. To find another famous yellow diamond to rival the Grail s quality, one must cite the Peacock diamond which is is only 20 carats, half the Grails size. The size, color and clarity are not the only distinguishing factors concerning the rarity of the Golden Grail. The Grail is also completely devoid of any fluorescence.
